WALK AND TALK THERAPY ($120/55 Minutes)

Mindfulness-based Walk and Talk Therapy provides a unique opportunity to combine the healing forces of nature, physical activity, and psychotherapy all into one! 

You and your therapist walk together while conversing. There are many therapeutic advantages to this type of therapy.

The rhythmic nature of walking provides a soothing, predictable, and comforting context.

The motor cortex becomes activated with the movement of your legs and arms – this stimulation provides communication between your brain hemispheres, which acts on a neurological level to assist in the processing of trauma. This activation is similar to the rapid eye movement in sleep in which, it is believed, is greatly involved in the processing of emotional and cognitive content.

Anxiety and stress activate the sympathetic nervous system – your fight and flight response.  Walking and movement help to decrease the sympathetic nervous system response, essentially decreasing stress on a physical level.

COUPLES THERAPY ($150/90 Minutes)

Cultivating fulfilling relationships is an integral part of our work at Upliftu. Couples Counselling includes any form of relationship counselling, including marriage counselling, premarital counselling, and counselling for partners who are dating or living together.


We provide couples therapy to people who are feeling stuck and discouraged in their relationships. They are looking for ways to save their relationship and create more fulfillment and deeper intimacy.
